In its introduction, the book mentioned: "Every stamp has a story but ...not every story has a stamp. All of these stories, except one, have stamps featuring the particular institution or event."

Dr Tan is a retired educationist with a lifetime of interest and passion in education and philatelic research and collections. This book on stamps is for posterity and everyone to enjoy the hobby of stamp collecting and learn the stories from the stamps. His happiness to share this hobby with everyone, young and old.
As an "evangelist" inspired by Dr Tan's philosophy to spread his happiness in learning and sharing these books. Dr Tan is happiest when someone is seen holding his book and the benefit and value of reading these books. Happiness is love.
