It's a pity Thim that the organising committee never included a 60s music group at these count-downs.

In the West it's different. Eg: US has a yearly one at Times Square New York.

There's always a 60s band representation. But Singapore? Nothing.

Pity!!!

You're right, Andy. There are many senior citizens celebrating the Singapore Countdown and would like to listen to some of the evergreen songs from the 60s music groups in Singapore.

Unk Dicko and his Minstrels, your local musical bands with their friends should be invited next year. Have they forgotten us?

Please remind them because an increasing number of senior citizens in Singapore are growing year by year!

Silver Strings and myself have appeared at the Esplanade in 2010 celebrating National Day.

Some other 60s bands have done so too but none at the New Year countdown with the younger ones.

The concentration is merely on current youth bands and imports.

Shouldn't our Seniors be with the Young Ones too? Celebrating another coming of the year is so important where heritage is concerned.

Yes, the new groups who qualify to become senior citizens would certainly look forward to contribute and participate in the new year.

The young ones now will be the senior groups of the future, so each year's countdown will be for both young and old...be there, Andy. Happy New Year 2013!!
