This "virtual workshop" on this series of blogs is an ongoing project under contruction to update the blog as and when the new stuff are posted.
Based on this project theme - "Same Place. Different Times. Different Journeys - Chinatown Then and Now."
I am heartened by blogger friends, readers and first time visitors to the blog as "A blogosphere learning experience to express with blog".
For the "Interactive Blog Workshop" recently posted as a series of blogs, spontaneous responses and constructive comments have been received via email, Facebook messages and direct blog comments. Thank you to everyone for your encouragement, support and kind compliments.
When I discovered the "Chinatown Singapore" on Google, I was pleasantly amazed. The collection of Chinatown Singapore of the pBase gallery of the contributor was just awesome!
Mr Lim Lian Hai is a professional photographer of the highest quality from Singapore with almost 3500 images online at http://www.pbase.com/lhlim since June, 2003. His insightful and philosophical theme: "Light for Life, Life for Light".

Hi Ihlim:
Your portfolio is one of the better ones in PBase. You have a good eye for composition and exposure and your images are very clean. Do you have any other website besides this?

Your eye sees the true beauty in every scene, your lens reflects the beauty in your soul.
I enjoyed your gallery, keep up the excellant work.
Best, Monique

These are the most beautiful Singapore pictures I have seen! Very dramatic scenery. Makes me wish I were there again!
When I emailed Mr Lim for his request for consent to publish a selection of his photos, he immediately reply as follows:
To use an unorthodox blog format in bite-sized portion, each topic will be posted as a form of worksheet for the "virtual workshop" contributed by their active participants.
The photos are eventually consolidated, sorted and "superimposed" the "Then" and "Now" photos as appropriate.

Hi James,What a kind and gracious gesture from you, Mr Lim. Thanks a zillion!
I think you have hit upon a good theme. I don't mind my photos being used in your blog as long as there is proper acknowledgement. A link to my website at http://www.pbase.com/lhlim would be greatly appreciated also.
