Without the splendid efforts and contributions of Dr Tan, Ivan, Victor, YG and everyone, the book could not have been published. Cheers!Thimbuktuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04495581875211093357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-108630126700411599.post-35511731308426519482010-10-18T19:49:13.336+08:002010-10-18T19:49:13.336+08:00Congratulations to Dr Tan Wee Kiat and company for...Congratulations to Dr Tan Wee Kiat and company for this latest book. Wee Kiat never ceases to amaze me with his energy and passion, not only doing book projects at great cost and effort, but sharing local history with a larger audience.
Thanks James for this post!Unk Dickohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07050766265321887439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-108630126700411599.post-20482973902486002972010-10-17T19:52:12.266+08:002010-10-17T19:52:12.266+08:00That's very nice of you to give a copy to your...That's very nice of you to give a copy to your neighbour. I should say that seeing the book in the hands of a reader... that's one of the best part about being the co-author. Big thanks to Wee Kiat for including me in his book project. And thanks for your blog post too, James.Ivan Chewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02727226573817276108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-108630126700411599.post-68701821612872525512010-10-17T18:24:18.721+08:002010-10-17T18:24:18.721+08:00I think Singaporeans, our government, and the Nati...I think Singaporeans, our government, and the National Heritage Board in particular should thank Dr Tan Wee Kiat for the time and resources that he has poured into these projects. Obviously this is a labour of love. Furthermore, he is uniquely equipped to undertake these projects in a way that few of us can. Firstly he has the comprehensive collection of stamps. Secondly he has the knowledge of our history. Finally, as one whose life-long career was in education, he has the passion for sharing knowledge with the next generation.

Actually, I myself have learnt a lot from his books. In fact, I sometimes refer to them when I am blogging about a certain place of which my memory has become a little faded.

On behalf of younger Singaporeans, we thank Dr Tan and his co-writers and of course not forgetting Osim for their generous support.Lam Chun Seehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01762020157703342970noreply@blogger.com
